Mind Matters directors are Peter Twist and Phil Day.
Peter Twist |
Peter is a well-known and highly regarded facilitator. He specialises in communication skills, thinking skills, leadership training, presentation skills, sales training, team building and team role profiling. Peter has over 20 years facilitation experience across the corporate and government sectors and delivers training programs internationally. Peter has been the lead sales facilitator for a major Australian corporation, and has delivered team-role training for Front Line Managers and Senior Management teams. Workshop participants describe Peter's facilitation as "exceptional", "the most enjoyable and beneficial training I have attended in my time with the company". For other participants: "Peter was excellent" and "he encouraged everyone to succeed". Peter is a certified, highly experienced practitioner of Think On Your Feet® and the Neethling Brain Instrument(NBI™) - tools to develop and enhance communication, creativity and thinking skills. Peter is also an accredited practitioner and recognised specialist of Belbin® Team Roles, which develops leadership, team-role knowledge, team-role awareness and teamwork. Peter subscribes to the adage that "nobody is perfect but a team can be". Peter enjoys time with his family, reading, travel, and in the winter months he can be found on the rugby pitch where as team coach he draws on his knowledge of leadership and team behaviours. |

Phil Day |
Phil is an international presenter specialising in communication skills – a leader in his profession and an engaging facilitator. Phil began his career in Australia in telecommunications. He moved from Administration and Management roles to Sales and Marketing, where he specialised in telecommunication / I.T. solutions and services for major corporations. Later Phil became a leading national sales trainer, and international consultant, providing highest level sales and communications skills training to management, sales staff, engineers, administrators and technicians. Today, Phil specialises in two key areas: Communication Skills and Thinking Skills. Indeed, he is recognised internationally as a leading facilitator and presenter. Workshop participants describe him as "motivating", "humorous and supportive", "knowledgeable on his subject", and his workshops as "best I’ve ever attended", "confidence building" and "very open and friendly". His workshops across Asia continue to critical acclaim, participants describing him as "a great communicator" and "someone who can communicate across all levels". Phil is recognised as a "trainer’s trainer" – the accolade of his peers. He is a master trainer for the Think On Your Feet® program throughout the Asia/Pacific region. In other words, he trains the trainers. He is a well known specialist in the field of communication, for presenting, thinking and speaking with clarity and persuasive impact. Phil is also a certified practitioner in the Neethling Brain Instrument (NBI™) – a range of tools for promoting creativity and innovation, leadership, team dynamics, decision making, communication and thinking skills. |

Internationally recognised psychologist and director of the Applied Psychology Unit Pty Ltd and director of Belbin Australia Pty Ltd, David can provide assistance to clients with psychological profiling for recruitment, selection, team building, career path planning and leadership issues. David has worked with the Belbin Team Role model for many years, in Australia and overseas.
